Today, I salute Marine Veteran Chris Tritico. As a Marine with the 36th Infantry Unit, Chris Tritico was deployed twice to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After serving in Iraq, he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. The 45-year-old, along with nearly 150 other Veterans from across the country, traveled to San Diego to participate in the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic. The goal of the clinic, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs, is to improve rehabilitation and quality of life for Veterans with disabilities. Activities include adaptive cycling, surfing, sailing, kayaking, and fitness. Chris called it a life-changing experience. Thank you for sharing your story, Chris, and THANK YOU for your service.
