Today, the AWESOME is in Peru. A journalist in Peru and his family are celebrating being alive, and they have their hero dog to thank. Security cameras captured the terrifying moment when a suspect threw a stick of dynamite into the courtyard of journalist Carlos Zarat’s home around 1 a.m. Alert and watchful, the family’s cocker spaniel mix, Manchis, spotted the danger and rushed to action. The footage shows Manchis running down the steps, pawing at the explosive, and then chewing through the fuse before it could ignite. That’s right, the dog chewed through the burning fuse of a stick of dynamite, to prevent the explosion, saving everyone inside, and THAT’S AWESOME.
