Zach Bryan just did something no one in country music has ever done, breaking a long-standing record held by the King, George Strait. Zach just played to a crowd of 112,408 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor — officially dethroning Strait’s 2024 Kyle Field performance, which drew 110,905 concertgoers.

I said yesterday, don’t be surprised if we get new music from Luke Combs this Friday or next. Too bad my record for picking winning lottery numbers wasn’t as good. Luke Combs announced last night that he will be releasing three new songs on Friday, October 3rd, in the form of an EP called The Prequel, which includes three songs: “Days Like These,” “15 Minutes,” and “My Kinda Saturday Night.”

And while we don’t have a list of performers yet, we know who is hosting the CMA Awards. After sharing the duties last year, Lainey Wilson is hosting by herself this year. This breaks the mold a little because she is heavily nominated, too.  It’s not often an artist who is nominated for the most trophies on a televised awards show also hosts.  Wilson is tied with Ella Langley and Megan Moroney for the most noms, with six each.
