Today, I salute Army Veteran Chris Grudzinski and fellow Veteran Steve Earle. Living in Montana, Chris said the opportunity to go on a moose hunt was a dream come true. It was made possible when fellow Veteran Steve Earle, who waited 26 years to get a tag through Montana’s moose program, finally got one and then donated it to Chris through the Montana Fish, Parks, and Wildlife Purple Heart program. Chris said the hunt exceeded his expectations and was the hunt of a lifetime. The hunt was successful halfway through the 1st of 5 days, after which Chris shared the bounty from the harvested moose not only with Steve but also with other Veterans.
