Today, I salute Marine Corps Veteran Thomas Andrews. 15 years ago, Thomas hit rock bottom when he was addicted and living in his car. Since then, he has gone from homeless and helpless to helping others. Thomas is now a sober coach, a peer support specialist, and a father. Andrews serves as a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician and a peer support specialist. He works with veterans in recovery, homeless populations, and anyone struggling to find their way back to themselves. He speaks to organizations, conferences, and treatment centers about recovery, self-love, veteran mental health, and the healing power of service. Andrews has written a book called “Return to Self-Love.” Andrews said his goal remains the same whether he’s working one-on-one with someone in early recovery, speaking about Dry January, or leading a fitness session on the beach. “To show people that transformation is possible, that you are not your worst moments, and that self-love is the path home.” Thank you for helping others, Thomas, and THANK YOU for your service.
