Today, the AWESOME is courtesy of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in California. Last week, the department posted on X a picture of their newest crime-fighting vehicle – an ice cream truck. What makes this ice cream truck so special is that it was purchased with money seized from drug dealers. That means they are turning money meant for bad into something good for their community. To make this deal even sweeter, the department will put the ice cream truck on the road, in neighborhoods, and hand out free ice cream. Taking drug money off the street and putting ice cream treats on the streets, THAT’S AWESOME.
