It looks like Alan Jackson is staying busy even though he’s retiring after a final show this summer. The country legend just put his name on a new music festival. The inaugural “Alan Jackson’s 5 O’clock Somewhere Fest” at Palm Beaches, Florida, will feature Ella Langley, Old Dominion, Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, Clint Black, and others.
Lainey Wilson is one of the most recognizable faces in country music today, or so she thought, until she was asked to show a backstage pass at her own show. She recently told the story of a festival in Colorado, she was getting ready to go on stage and a guy at the bottom of the stairs said he needed to see her pass. She said, “I am the pass.” She went on to tell the guy she could go get her pass, but it would have her face on it. She said moments like that keep her ego in check.
