Ring is recalling some of its second generation doorbell cameras because of a fire risk.
Some people have been using a wood screw instead of a supplied security screw to attach the Ring cameras to their homes. In some cases, the longer wood screw comes in contact with the devices battery, causing overheating. Ring has reports of 23 small fires and eight burns tied to this problem.
