Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Air Force Veteran from Goddard, Ed Krivanek.  Ed’s dad served in the Army Air Corp as a gunner and gunnery instructor during WWII and for Ed, service was as easy choice, saying he believed it was his patriotic duty. Thanks to his music talent as a 4th grader, Ed quickly joined the drum and bugle corp. When stationed in Charleston he was on the flight light as a member of the fuel crew.  He was so good at his job he was selected to fuel President Ronald Reagan’s plane when it landed there. He said if he had to do it again he would, but this time he would fly an F-16.  Ed says all the skills he learned on the flight line helped him in his long career in the medical field. Thank you for sharing your stories Ed and THANK YOU for your service.
