Fentanyl – one pill can kill.

In the 12-month period ending October 2021, more than 105,000 Americans died from drug overdoses. Nearly 69,000 of those deaths involved fentanyl. In the 12-month period ending April 2021, fentanyl was the leading cause of deaths for Americans aged 18 to 45.
The Drug Enforcement Administration estimates that nearly 40% of illicit pills contain potentially lethal doses of fentanyl. The number of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl seized by the DEA has increased more than 500% since 2019, up to 9.5 million counterfeit pills in 2021.
Sedgwick County is also seeing an increase in overdose deaths due to fentanyl. We need YOUR help to spread the awareness and educate others
Please talk to your families about the dangers of this drug!
Fentanyl is being added by drug dealers into fake prescription drugs and then sold to people. Never buy or take any prescription narcotics that were not given to you by a pharmacist.
Just a pinch of fentanyl added to a prescription pill is enough to kill you. Please educate your families that “One pill can kill!” As always, Stay Safe Wichita!

In Sedgwick County people are dying. Fentanyl is an opioid prescribed by doctors to treat pain. But it is also used in illegal drugs and knockoff prescriptions.
Drugs bought on the street, or shared, don’t come with an ingredient list. If the user is unaware that what they’re taking has fentanyl, overdose and death may occur.

And it’s happening here.
