David Lee Murphy – you know that name. David Lee Murphy is the “Dust On The Bottle” guy from the mid-Nineties. Murphy switched his focus to writing songs in the 2000’s and was successful.
“Living In Fast Forward” for Kenny Chesney, “Big Green Tractor” for Jason Aldean, and “The More I Drink” from Blake Shelton are just a few.
It sounds like David Lee has a new album coming out. It is co-produced by Kenny Chesney and Buddy Cannon. This would be his first solo album in – get this – thirteen years.
David Lee Murphy’s voice is umistakably country – and when combined with Chesney’s – makes for a fine blend. With all the crazy stuff happening in the world, having a song called “Everythings Gonna Be Alright” is just fine with me.
