Police in Winfield are investigating after a man was found shot inside an apartment Thursday afternoon.
A man in his mid 20s was taken to a Wichita hospital with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was originally in serious condition but he was released later in the day.
Officers found guns, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the apartment in the 600 block of Saint James Court. Winfield detectives are still investigating, and they said there’s nothing to indicate a threat to the community.
