A sheriff’s deputy from Kiowa County is hospitalized in Wichita after a chase that ended with a crash in Greensburg.

The chase began Thursday night in Pratt County when deputies tried to stop a motorcycle that was speeding.  The bike sped west into Kiowa County, and one deputy crashed his patrol car on the east edge of Greensburg during the chase.   The deputy was taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical but stable condition, and his name has not been released.

The 18-year-old Wisconsin man who was involved in the chase was eventually caught near Mullinville.   He is being held at the Pratt County jail.
