Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors a Kansas City veteran’s dying wish. The veteran had one wish as his time was coming to an end, find someone that loves his dog as much as he does. The dog, a 5-year old brindle shepherd named Lady.  That’s where KC Pet Project stepped it.  They made it their urgent mission to work overtime to find a new home for Lady and be able to deliver the news to the veteran in time, that Lady would be loved like he loved her, for the rest of her life. The veteran, who adopted Lady 5 years ago after his wife passed away, was recently given the news that Lady was adopted by a very nice gentleman from Independence, who took Lady home on Monday.  Thank you KC Pet Project for the work you do and thank you to the veteran for your service.
