27-year-old Derrick Pruett, of Wichita, is identified as the man killed in a crash Saturday night.
First responders were called to 21st and 127th E., around 10:40 p.m. Pruett was found pinned in an SUV that overturned. Firefighters got him out of the car but he died from his injuries soon after.
Pruett was the only person involved in the crash. Police believe he was driving west at a high speed when he lost control, hitting the median and a utility pole.
