Friends University announced Tuesday that major renovations to the Garvey Athletic Center will begin in May, 2021.
The university said that it has seen an increase in enrollment, degree programs, athletic programs, and charitable contributions–including $2 million of the $2.3 million need for the Garvey Center project.
The project is the first phase of the university’s RISE Up Capital Campaign, which will include more updates and renovations across campus.
The campaign will continue after the Garvey Athletic Center project, with the next phase including improvements to the Riney Fine Arts facility.
