Two people were seriously hurt in an east Wichita apartment fire Thursday night.
Crews were called to the Sundance Apartments, near 21st and Rock, close to 11 p.m. Heavy fire was seen coming from one unit and it appeared to spread to several others. Between structure and contents, damage is being estimated at more than $1-million.
Investigators said the fire was caused by a discarded cigarette. Residents of 16 units have been displaced by the fire.
