Police said one man was killed and another man was seriously injured in a shooting that happened Sunday morning in a northeast Wichita neighborhood.
The shooting was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of North Harding, near 17th and Oliver.
Officers found 47-year-old Deandre Freeman, of Wichita, dead at the scene. A 53-year-old man with injuries was also found at the scene. The second man was taken to a hospital in serious condition and is still hospitalized as of Monday morning.
Officials say both victims, a suspect, and two other men were at a home when a fight broke out. A suspect fired multiple shots then left the area. Police say this was not random and that all the men involved knew each other.
Police are still looking for a suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
