A Kingman man was killed when his pickup collided with a semi at an intersection in Kingman County.

The crash was reported around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon at Highway 54 and Southwest 70th Avenue, about seven miles west of Kingman.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said 44-year-old Benjamin Sickles was driving a pickup north on Southwest 70th and did not yield at a stop sign.  His truck collided with a eastbound semi.

Sickles was pronounced dead at the scene.  His passenger, a 28-year-old Kingman man, was taken to a Wichita hospital with serious injuries.   The semi driver was not hurt.
