Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Air Force Veteran Carl Anderson and his pitbull Bruno. Carl talks a lot about Bruno, the dog that was driven to a park, abandoned and left there over night.  Carl found Bruno confused and scared and thankfully because he witnessed the drop off was able to provide information to the police and Bruno’s former owner was charged with animal cruelty.  Bruno ended up in the shelter but he wasn’t doing well there, so Carl and his family decided to Foster Bruno, who is now enrolled at a non-profit called Victoria Service Dogs and is training to become a service dog for a Veteran who needs one.
