Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Bart Roy who is participating in Great Cycle Challenge to help fight childhood cancer. Bart wonders how many of our future leaders we’re losing to a disease that we can cure if the right research is found. Bart is out riding 14-miles a day because he wants to lead by example and do something rather than thinking it’s happening to someone else. For Bart it has hit close to home and he says until it hits home with you, you really don’t understand how difficult it is on everybody that’s going through the treatment and the toll it takes on their lives. Thank you Bart for being a helper and THANK YOU for your service.
