The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is working with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office after human remains were found in a rural area Thursday evening.
Hunters from out-of-state called 911 after finding the remains in a pasture about a mile south of Coyville, near Decatur Road. Deputies found human skeletal remains when they arrived.
An autopsy was scheduled, and due to the condition of the remains, positive identification is expected to take some time.
