Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam Marine Veteran Ed Macomber. In high school, the only class Ed really like was Art. His teacher recognized his talent and so did his parents, but before he could apply for that art scholarship, he was off to Vietnam. After his service, he got that art degree and ran an arts supply and painting business in his town for 15 years before he sold it. Encouraged by his customers, he worked less and painted more and now he shares his gifts with others as vice president of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.
