Belle Plaine police are asking the public for information after pieces of a razor blade and kitchen shears were found in a park playground. The items were placed in the sand where children could have been injured.
A resident found the items at Watson Park. The shears had the handles down in the sand with the pointed ends sticking up, and pieces of a broken single-edge razor blade had also been placed in the sand.
Parents are urged to check playground areas before allowing their children to use a playground. Anyone with information is urged to contact Belle Plaine police.
