Today, the AWESOME comes from Arizona. Nearly 20 years after a turbulent childhood in foster care, Arizona mother Sarah Paul reunited with Barbara Daw-Sanders, the caseworker who helped change her life. Entering the system at 13, Paul found stability, care, and guidance through Daw-Sanders, including a memorable Thanksgiving that gave her a sense of family. After losing touch, Paul later recognized those same protective instincts in herself while raising her daughter. Determined to say thank you, she turned to social media, sparking a viral search that reconnected them. Living just miles apart, the two have rebuilt their bond and now plan to spend future holidays together, and THAT’S AWESOME!
