Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam Veteran Steve Young. Steve started volunteering in his VA back in 1999. He started by teaching guitar to Veterans and soon realized he could do so much more. Steve saw that these Veterans, in their group therapy, would write down the thoughts and feelings that drove their PTSD and Steve saw some amazing stories on paper. All this has developed into a 9-month music therapy and song writing program. This program helps Veterans with PTSD and anger management and the group has become a family that helps one another. Thank you Steve for being a helper and THANK YOU for your service.
