Police in Derby say a shooting from June 25 is believed to be accidental.
Officers were called to the 400 block of N. Baltimore around 6:30 a.m. and found an injured woman. She was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to her abdomen is reported to be in stable condition.
According to police, the woman was the only person involved in this incident, and investigators would like to talk with any witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call the Derby Police Department at 316-788-1557 or submit a tip anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
